A valentine for small local businesses

Commissioned by @theotherfifth – Park Slope Fifth Ave Business Improvement District

We’re a few weeks into 2021 and have witnessed some shocking events, as well as ongoing crises, but I’m still optimistic. I began the year with an intention, marking it as a new era, as many of us did. I tried something that was designed to make me feel good and was hopeful that my neighbors would get involved and feel the same way. Inspired by a project in Baltimore, and immensely supported by the local BID (@TheOtherFifth) and Greenspace@President Street, I created this community art project. Thank you to all who supported and contributed, because together we launched 2021 with hope, neighborly conversation and inspiration!
